The fort was constructed by the French in the 1700’s. It subsequently changed hands to the British and then the Americans. We can safely assumed it’s been the better part of 300 hundred years says the Blessed Eucharist has been present inside this chapel. But one can feel the remnants of His Presence. All the blood shed at this fort, and it’s the unbloody shedding of Holy Mass that stirs the heart and brings the past alive here in this small place....at least for Faithful Catholics.

Wonderful Old Chapel
Check out this beautiful little chapel located inside the castle fort at Old Fort Niagara. It wonderfully represents the Traditional Latin Mass. How many Catholics today, who visit this place, have an understanding of why the chapel is set up like this? Would they wonder about the missing table? The railing and kneeler?
